How to Provide an Age-Ready Environment for Your Customers Do you work with older people or serve them? 25% will be 65 and older by 2030. Are you ready?
As the number of older people continues to rise, organizations need to be equipped to serve this population in order to maintain and enhance their service and reputation in the communities they serve.
There’s Always Hope is here to help: Does your organization want to attract and/or enhance its level of service to the fast-growing baby boomer and older persons demographic? Is your staff largely made up of younger people?
Creating an age-friendly environment is the key. We offer customized, hands-on staff training, where your team will be encouraged to recognize what they are already doing well to serve older people, and then learn new skills to do their jobs even better. The training includes an aging simulation activity designed to build empathy by putting you and your team in the shoes of people who have age-associated deficits such as hearing and vision impairment, arthritis, etc. Participants will learn about what customer service qualities older people value, and explore specific ways create an age-friendly environment to delight the people you and your team serve.
Prior participants have touted this program as a fun and engaging professional development activity, which has helped them enhance their ability to serve their community, while improving job satisfaction.
