Professional and Personal Development

Brain Health - A Use-It-Or-Lose It Strategy
(in-person or online)

What participants had to say:

"The information was great, and the presentation even moreso; a top notch presenter"

"Great ideas and resources given to participants. Went to several of the sites and googled many of the suggestions given during the webinar"

"Clear presentation; easy to understand; well organized'

"Thank you, great presentation ...and helpful both professionally and personally!"

About the program:
Building on what research about brain health has uncovered, this training will give you a non-clinical perspective on ways to maintain and even enhance cognitive function as we age. Discover the ingredients needed for a brain-healthy lifestyle and how to integrate them into your life in fun, engaging and creative ways. We will also discuss free and low-cost resources for yourself and/or the clients your serve.

This program is offered as a webinar or in-person. Contact Hope Levy for more information.

CParticipants in this seminar will be able to:
  • Explain in layman’s terms the concepts of neuroplasticity and cognitive reserve and how to harness their benefits
  • List three practical ways to maintain brain fitness
  • Describe at least one brain fitness strategy that you can integrate into your life
  • Identify print, on-line and community brain-health resources

Do you think of yourself as creative? If not, think again. In this workshop, we will look at what creativity means, how creativity develops as we age, and how creativity is thwarted. We will do some fun, interactive exercises to jumpstart your newly-defined definition of creativity. Participants will be provided a list of resources on creativity and aging.
